Parent Relationships Parents are not only welcomed but encouraged to participate in the classroom environment. Positive parent-teacher relationships are developed through direct contact, progress reports, parent conferences and family get-togethers as well as monthly school and church newsletters.
Background "Work of Heart Learning Center" is a non-profit center and was opened by Gail Goulette/ Director of Education and Reta Vogt/Director of Administration in 2004 and is a ministry of the Peoria Church of the Nazarene. We are a state licensed facility. Our dedicated staff has been part of the Christian preschool teaching community for 10 years and we are confident that once you visit "Work of Heart Learning Center" you will love it as much as we do. All teachers and assistants meet the Office for Child Care Services qualifications.
Children Served Work of Heart Learning Center admits children who are fully potty trained for the 3 year old program that have turned 3 by the deadline of August 31. The hours are 9:15 - 11:45.
Our unique 4 year old program is great preparation for the school years ahead. Children attend from 9:15 - 1:15 and bring their lunch to enjoy at 11:00 before carrying on with the afternoon schedule. Children entering the 4/5 year old program must be four by August 31, and potty trained.
